How to become an agent

Ready to start a career in Real Estate ? Or do you wish to practice Real Estate part time ? Either way, you MUST have a North Carolina Real Estate License. You may have questions. The North Carolina has specific requirements for people who want to become real estate agents. 

To be eligible to become a licensed North Carolina real estate agent, you must:

1. Be at least 18 years old.
2. Be a US citizen, a non-citizen national, or a qualified alien under federal law. You are not required to be a resident of North Carolina.
3. Have a social security number.
4. Complete a state-approved 75-hour broker pre - licensing course.
5. Pass the class Pre - licensing course.
6. Pass the North Carolina State Licensing Examination with a score of at least 75% with PSI.
7. Satisfy the Commission that the applicant possesses the requisite character for licensure.
